HYPERNOVA by Risto Bimbiloski

Risto Bimbiloski- a Macedonian maven of knitwear perhaps best known for his collaborations with Louis Vuitton- channels dramatic celestial motion for his Spring/Summer '09 collection. Working to blend the Eastern European tradition of handcrafted knits with progressive design concepts, Bimbiloski translates Hypernova- the bright collapse of a star into a black hole- into a suite of gorgeous garments that blow our minds! Take a peek @ JC Report and check back with us for stellar updates...

The BEST Obama design we've seen.....

from DJ Z-Trip's album cover....we found this on a Spanish music site....incredible!!!!

More BARACK OBAMA tees are in!

We are very excited about the upcoming election. We have acquired a life-size cardboard cut-out of BARACK OBAMA and have enjoyed putting him the window with all the gorgeous Miriam Ocariz fall clothes, befitting of attending an Inaugural CELEBRATION!!!

Here is one of new favorite OBAMA tees designed by one of our favorite designers, Beth Orduna!

Victoria's October Favorites

DOMA Leather Vest

This gorgeous gray leather vest from DOMA of Argentina is the perfect mix of practicality and fashion. The cut is fabulous and you can wear it in Los Angeles on the back of that bike down the PCH.

Riso Bimbiloski Sweater and Skirt

Risto Bimbiloski does it again-his hand-knitted sweater and ruffled, yet sexy, skirt makes me want to move to PARIS now!!

Maggie's October Favorites

Miriam Ocariz Dress

Miriam Ocariz cannot be mistaken for anyone else-her quirky prints, swirls, and scribbles are the ultimate in U-N-I-Q-U-E.

Aris Geldis Necklace

Aris Geldis rocks my world. His jewelry is inspired by the past, but so utterly NOW...

A line that Walks the Talk....PROJECT ALABAMA GREEN T

Imagine our delight when we opened our first shipment from PROJECT ALABAMA GREEN T!

FINALLY, someone who sells themselves as a "green line" doesn't waste huge amounts of packaging on each piece of clothing, only to be thrown away when it arrives at it's destination.....We know, we know what you are thinking: "Why can't stores recycle the plastic and tissue paper usually wrapped around individual piece of clothing?"

Well, these cannot be recycled....at least not in Los Angeles, which has one of the most progressive recycling centers in the country. You can recycle plastic bottles and cardboard boxes, sure. But not the rest.

PROJECT ALABAMA GREEN T neatly folded each piece of clothing-wrapped it in one single piece of tissue and tied it with fabric scraps-which we are REUSING.

Our "BIBLE" at Malgosia these days.....

Can't get enough of "DELUXE: HOW LUXURY LOST ITS LUSTRE" by Dana Thomas...a brilliant writer who tells us all about the Luxury Goods Industry, a $157 Billion industry (seems small compared to the $700 Billion Wall Street Bailout-except it's NOT) and where it stands today. It says a lot about our philosophy at MALGOSIA and why we have been moving in the direction we have been for some time.....AWAY from mass produced goods, AWAY from "Designer" Labels (Mostly Made in China, only good for one season before they are "O-V-E-R" to the Fashion World) AWAY from over priced, over licensed, over commercialized products.

A new movement is already underway and we're on board. Are you? If you are on the fence and just can't break your Marc Jacobs addiction, read this book. You'll probably change your mind.
